Alexa Demie tells how it was shooting the traumatic scene of Maddy and Nate in 'Euphoria'

Alexa Demie from Euphoria - Season 2

Chapter six of 'Euphoria' has been very strong. Of course we still haven't recovered from the scene with Fez and Lexi singing 'Stand by me' while holding hands, but there is another one that kept us breathless for five minutes: when Nate sneaks into Maddy's room and tells her points a gun.

The relationship between these two characters has been through a lot. From physical abuse of him towards her, to reconciliations that should not have taken place, without forgetting of course that he has formed a love triangle with Cassie, her best friend and ex-girlfriend of a friend of his. However, this last moment that they have given us has been the straw that has filled this camel full of toxicity and abuse.

When Rue dropped the bombshell in the middle of her withdrawal heavy, Maddy was plotting revenge on her ex-boyfriend and her best friend through the drive she stole from Nate's house, containing the father's sex tape. of her with Jules. But she didn't count on how crazy the character played by Jacob Elordi is, and he showed up in her room with a gun. The strongest thing about this scene is not only that he threatened her in such a way to recover her file, it is that he deceived her into believing that he was going to take her life in front of her. We still have creeps!

Euphoria - Season 2 HBO Series

Alexa Demie has told EW what it was like to shoot this complex scene and we can tell you that it took two full days of recording. ''It was an incredibly difficult scene. Not just because I had a gun to my head, but because it was so choreographed. We had to move with the movement of the camera and it was really organized, so it took us two days to do it,” she explains.

For her character, this moment also has a strong emotional charge. ‘‘Nate is someone she has been with for a long time, they have been very close. For a moment, she thinks she was freaking out. She doesn't think that she could go so far as to shoot it. Taking away the feeling of fear, Maddy is testing how far the person she thought loved her can go. [During the scene] all possible situations are going through her mind as she tries to survive. We see that this person has gone too far from her, which breaks her. At this moment things really change for her.

Does this mean that the story of Maddy and Nate has come this far? We don't think so, because we are sure that the author of 'bitch, you better be joking' will want to take revenge on her and, furthermore, help her friend, no matter how much she has betrayed her. Although one thing is clear: '' After Nate put a gun to his head, I think he has reached the point of: 'Okay, I can't do this anymore. It's toxic and I don't deserve it. Goodness.
